A Special Donation from Suffolk County Homemakers’ Council

We’re so grateful to the members of Suffolk County Homemakers’ Council, who donated 410 blanket/hat sets for Brittany’s Baskets of Hope. All of the blanket/hat sets were handmade and either crocheted, knitted, or quilted.

Karen Indusi, the chair of the Council, wrote that she was “honored to lead this Community Service Project,” and that the Council was “thrilled to meet Brittany and her mom, Sue, who not only attended the Council Meeting and spoke to the members about Brittany’s Basket of Hope, but also picked up the blanket/hat sets on two occasions.  The Council Units were passionate about making as many sets as they could to help this very worthwhile cause.”

She added, “Brittany is a very special young lady and an inspiration to all the members of Suffolk County Homemakers’ Council Units. She will always hold a special place in their hearts.”

We’re thankful for the Council’s love and giving hearts, too.
